The trip to Everest Base Camp Trekking begins as you arrive in Nepal and land at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Then, you get on a flight over the lush hills and head to Lukla. From here, the trek begins as you have a short trek to Phakding. The trail from Phakding runs along the banks of the Bhote Koshi River and enters the boundaries of the Sagarmatha National Park. Next, the trek heads to Namche Bazaar, one of the most prominent stops on the EBC trail. Here, you stop for an extra day and explore famous locations like Khumjung, Khunde, and Everest View Hotel. As the trek heads east, you cross Sanasa village and reach Tengboche.
The trail ascends as you head to Dingboche after exploring the Tengboche Monastery. Here, you acclimatize for a day where you hike to Nangkar Tshang Peak (5616m). Heading further north, you will visit the memorial for mountaineers who lost their lives during the Everest expedition and trek to Lobuche. Trekking along the Khumbu Glacier, the trail becomes arid and reaches the Everest Base Camp trekking. From the base camp, you can relish the panorama of mountains like Nuptse (7861m) and Pumo Ri (7165m).
Moreover, the scenery of the Khumbu Glacier and Icefall guarantees a memorable time. Next, you return to Gorakshep and prepare for the hike on the next day. You will hike to the Kala Patthar viewpoint and witness the majesty of Mt. Everest (8848m) along with other mountains like Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8201m), and Nuptse (7861m). The return trek retraces its way back to Lukla via Pheriche, Tengboche, and Namche.

Welcome to Nepal! One of the company representatives will receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport. He/she will drive you across the capital and take you to your hotel. You’ll meet your trek guide at the hotel and discuss the itinerary in detail.
On this day, you will get on a flight to the northern part of the country to Lukla. Heading out of the valley, the flight also offers mesmerizing views of the Himalayas in Langtang, Jugal, and Everest Himalayan ranges. The trek begins from Lukla as you make a gradual descent to Phakding. The trek follows the Bhote Koshi River for the entire walk.
On this day, you will enter the Sagarmatha National Park, which is one of the UNESCO world heritage sites in Nepal. The national park is home to an array of wildlife and vegetation. The trek follows the forested trail and crosses villages like Monjo and Jorsalle. Namche is also famous as the gateway into the Everest region and is a great home to the Sherpa community.
This day is separated for the trekkers to acclimatize to the high altitude. As such, you will explore the village and some of the famous locations around Namche. As such, Khumjung and Khunde villages are excellent destinations to enjoy the cultural aspect of the Everest region. Also, you can hike to the Everest View Hotel to relish the panorama of the Everest ranges.
Leaving Namche, you will follow the ascending trail to Sanasa. Continuing east, you will reach Phunki Tenga after crossing the Imja River. The trail continues across the pasture lands and reaches Tengboche. The village houses one of the biggest monasteries in the Everest region that goes by the name Dawa Choeling Monastery.
As the trail continues in the company of Mt. Ama Dablam (6856m), you will trek to Deboche village. Trekking alongside the Imja River, you will follow the trails through the rhododendron forest. Then, you continue past a series of Mani walls and reach an Archway that welcomes you to Pangboche. Further east, you go past Somare and reach Dingboche.
Dingboche is one of the acclimatization spots for those on the trek to Everest Base Camp. Today, you can explore the village and experience the culture and traditions of the Sherpa community. Alternatively, you can also hike to the Chhukung Valley and Nangkar Tshang Peak (5616m) and enjoy the views of the Everest ranges, including Mt.Makalu.
The trek begins to head north from here and reaches Dusa. Further, you reach Thukla village and then to the memorial for mountaineers who lost their lives on the Everest expedition. Next, you cross the Thukla Pass (4830m) and descend to the trail along the Khumbu Glacier. Finally, you reach Lobuche as you trek across the glacial moraines and narrow path.
The trail on this day follows the Khumbu Glacier for the entire trek. As such, you will reach the Pyramid and ascend to the top of the Lobuche Pass (5110m). Next, the descending trail takes you to Gorakshep Lake. The trail heads east from Gorakshep and reaches the Everest Base Camp. The base camp of the highest mountains in the world offers a surreal view of the Khumbu Icefall and Glacier. Likewise, you can also enjoy the vistas of mountains like Nuptse (7861m) and Pumo Ri (7165m). Later, you return to Gorakshep.
Today, you will indulge in a hike to the Kalapatthar viewpoint. It is an important vantage point to relish the panorama of the mountains in the Everest range. You can witness the mountains like Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8201m), and others from Kalapatthar. Next, you descend along the Khumbu Glacier and continue to Thula. Further, you trek along the Imja River to reach Pheriche.
Heading out of Pheriche, the trail descends to Namche Bazaar. The Himalayas will offer fabulous company as you pass Sherpa villages like Pangboche, Deboche, and Tengboche. Then, you continue west along the Imja River to trek past Sanasa and settle at Namche.
From Namche Bazaar, you will trek along the Dudh Koshi River and reach Larja Dobhan. You will continue south to Jorsalle and exit the Sagarmatha National Park. Further, you cross Phakding and Chheplung to settle at Lukla. Here, you will enjoy your stay in the Everest region for a final time and interact with the Sherpas in the village.
