We plan to visit Kathmandu’s Durbar Square, or Palace Square. Small cobbling streets packed with street vendors that lead to open squares with ancient temples and palace buildings takes you back in time. After a good walk and having explored enough we continue to Swayambunath. This white peace Stupa is located on a forested hilltop just at the skirts of Kathmandu city. Largely populated by monkeys, many refer to this Stupa as the monkey temple. As a short hike up the stairs to reach the top of the hill and see the views from the Stupa. Next up is the huge round Stupa of Boudhanath. This ancient Buddhist Stupa is a famous pilgrimage site, and every day devotees from across the globe visit here to find spirituality and inner peace. Last but not least, is the famous Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath. According to legend the Trident of the Hindu God Shiva is located here. Also acting as a burial place for Hindus, Pashupatinath is filled with ancient small temples and Gurus (Hindu Priests) that offer blessings and guidance.
