As a short trek in Nepal, the Everest View trek can be done by families with children and seniors. Narba Treks awaits you at the airport in Kathmandu and transfers you to your booked hotel. For your first day we’d like you to get used to Nepal and take it easy. Explore the streets of Thamel, or relax at the hotel. Because, the next day Narba Treks sends you on a guided sightseeing tour of some of the most cultural location in Kathmandu. During this time our team will prepare your required permits for the Everest View trek. These are included in the package but can take a day to get ready from your arrival. Sightseeing in Kathmandu includes visiting the Kathmandu’s Durbar or Palace Square in Basantapur, as well as visits to the Monkey Temple in Swayambunath, the Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath and the mighty Boudhanath Stupa. In the evening you’ll meet up with our Narba Treks trekking team and go over the itinerary of the Everest View trek.
The next day we fly to one of the world’s highest airports, namely the 38 th highest at Lukla. The flight in itself is an incredible chance to see amazing views of the region as well as the Himalayas. Upon arriving at the airport and after meeting with our porter team we start the Everest View trek officially. The first part of the trek leads us downwards to the Dudh Koshi River along the Phakding trail. Crossing the suspension bridge leads us straight into the village. While during this part of the trek you won’t be able to see so many views due to the forest there are incredible natural scenes as well as culture to be found. On day 4 of the Everest View trek we continue on the trail and ascend gradually up to Namche Bazaar.
As the largest Sherpa settlement of the Everest region, Namche Bazaar marks one of the main highlights of the Everest View trek. We’ll spend an extra day here exploring and seeing everything the village has to offer. For the best views of Everest, we’ll hike up to Syangboche and its famous Everest View Hotel. The Everest View trek won’t be nothing without amazing views. From the hotel balcony Mt Everest, Mt Ama Dablam, Mt Nuptse, Mt Lhotse and others can be seen making it the place to be! Depending on the time we can make a small excursion towards the Khumjung Monastery where the Hillary school is founded. For our last stop we make way from Namche Bazaar and head to the Tengboche Monastery. As the largest Buddhist Monastery, Tengboche is a peaceful and harmonious place. The Monastery looks out on the Himalayas and build with incredible architecture makes for an ideal place during the Everest View trek.
The next day make our way back down to Monjo at the entry gate of the Everest National Park. Another day of trekking takes us back passed Phakding and ultimately back at Lukla. In the morning on day nine we’ll fly back to Kathmandu and conclude the Everest View trek. If you depart out of Nepal the next day Narba Treks does offer shuttle service to the airport. Yes, you can certainly bring the kids with you during the Everest View trek. Make sure that they are experienced outdoor trekkers as there are some steep ascends during this short trek in Nepal. Our guides are experts in the Himalayas and will make sure to take you and your family through the Himalayas!
With Narba Treks¸ you can extend the Everest View trek and continue on to Everest Base Camp, the Gokyo Lakes, or combine the two as well. Do note that these extentions are not included in the package price and will result in additional costs.

While the package of the Everest View trek counts 9 days, the actual trek only has 6 days of trekking in the Everest region. The last stop is at the Tengboche Monastery (3,867m/12,684ft) and one day will be spend extra at Namche Bazaar for exploration.
While legally you do not need a guide up to Namche Bazaar, it is always recommended to trek with. Every year people get lost who refused to take a guide with them. Furthermore, making use of a guide during the Everest View trek, not only provides job opportunities for local people but as well as increases your knowledge of the area and mountains.
