Of all the treks available in the infamous Annapurna circuit, the trek up to Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking is probably the easiest and the shortest. If you’re a person who needs to dip his feet before diving in to swim, this trek is definitely for you If you’re thinking of spending some time in the great Himalayas for your vacation but have limited time and budget, this is the perfect package for you.
Located at 3200m, the trail leading up the hill has all that the Annapurna circuit has to offer. Being the most popular trail of the Annapurna circuit, one will find themselves surrounded by domestic and international tourists, and is a perfect place if you seek to socialize with other trekkers.
We begin our trip to Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking by exploring Kathmandu (1300m), places like Swayambhunath temple(the monkey temple), Boudhanath stupa, and the three Durbar Square, one has the opportunity to experience the cultural heritages this rapidly growing ancient city has in store. The following day trekkers will fly to Pokhara (900m) where they shall hike all the way to Tikhedhunga. We proceed with the trek by going up to altitudes of 2810m to Ghorepani. Here, trekkers shall experience the mesmerizing scenery of Rhododendron forests and its flower which also happens to be Nepal’s national flower.
Trekkers get themselves being smiled at by the villagers, who are primarily of Magar and Gurung ethnicity. If lucky, trekkers will also be followed by village dogs, which have been accustomed to the special treats of trekkers. The walk itself is somewhat difficult for beginners and one has more than enough time for rest along the way. Once there, trekkers will witness the majestic Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The next day is an early morning walk to Poonhill (3210m) to witness the infamous sunrise which is one of the major attractions of the entire trip. After viewing the sunrise, the route takes a turn to head back down o civilization to Tadapani (2700m) and overnight stay there.
Trekking to Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking continues the next day, down to Ghandruk and from there to Nayapul. Where trekkers will be picked up by our jeep and dropped to Pokhara. Trekkers are free to explore the small piece of marvel that is Pokhara. And the next day we head back to Kathmandu via tourist bus The trip takes about 5 hours. Then we proceed to wish farewell to our guests the next day.

When you arrive in Kathmandu, you will be collected from the airport and transported to your hotel. If you arrive early in the day, you can explore the city and rest in your hotel.
After breakfast in the morning, we drive to Nayapul (48 km.) 1.5 hr by vehicle over via hilly ridges of Lumle/Kande and walk about 20 minutes to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town. Beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, the trail reaches Sudami where we have Lunch. After lunch climbs steadily up the side of the valley, reaching Hile at 1495m near Tikhedhunga. Along the way, various hamlets offer ample camping possibilities but if Ghorepani is the objective for the next day it is better to push to Uleri.
Breakfast is served in the morning at around 7: am. From Tikhedhunga the trail crosses a stream (Bhurungdi Khola) on a suspension bridge to start the long steep climb to the large Magar village Ulleri at 2070m.Above the village where the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. There are magnificent rhododendron and oak forest.
Lunch spot in Nangethanti. That is a Nepali word meaning “rest house”. In the winter the trail can be covered with the show. From Nangethanti about an hour walks to Ghorepani at 2848m. Arrive at the top of the Ghorepani pass called Deurali and stay overnight there.
An early start and an hour hiking to Poon Hill (3195m) lead us to a brilliant spectacle. This vantage point provides an unobstructed view of sunrise over the high Himalayas. After spending about 40 minutes on the hillside, we come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and start walking to Tadapani. From Ghorepani, the trail climbs along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2960m). We descend to reach Banthanti, before winding our way to Tadapani (2540m). 6 hours.
Our descent brings us to the village of Ghaundruk around noon. We will overnight here so have the afternoon to visit the Annapurna Conservation Office and museum, as well as take time to explore the village. 2:30 hours
Today is a little hard day but a good view from Kimrong danda, where from you can see a close view of Machhapurchhare and south Annapurna. After crossing beautiful Ghandruk village we decent kimrongkhola and steep climbing up to the top of chhomrong village, this is last biggest Gurung village of Annapurna basecamp from where you can see close view of south Annapurna and Himchuli.
Today we decent Jhinu danda, takes around 35 minutes steep down and stop for hot spring and order lunch and go to Hotspring for 40 minutes and back Jhinudanda takes lunch and start trek to Tolka via Landrung village.
Today we have a last close view of Machhapuchhare from Pothana and decent to Dhampus village enjoying views of mountains and landscape it takes us around 5/6hr to Phedi then take a vehicle from Phedi to Pokhara. The trek is finished and you can enjoy Pokhara by riding a boat or paragliding.
