Ramdung Peak Climbing is situated in the south of Na, in the upper Rolwaling area, also called Ramdung Go, is one of the clusters of peaks around the Yalung La (5,310m), a pass giving access to the upper Rolwaling from the south, via the Khare Khola.

Ramdung Peak Climbing in the area was first explored by the Scottish Himalayan expedition, led by Bill Murry in 1952 when three of the peaks near the pass, Yalung Ri (5,630m), chhugyima Fo (6,259m), and Ramdung were climbed. In 1955 the peak has its second ascent by members of the Merseyside expedition. Since then Ramdung has been climbed numerous times an ideal summit for groups wanting to trek and climb in the still little visited Rolwaling Himal area.

Itinerary of Ramdung Peak Climbing

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu & Transfer hotel
Day 02: Cultural Tours / Preparation for the Expedition
Day 03: Drive to Dolakha (5 hrs).
Day 04: Trek Dolakha to Piguti (920m). (4 hrs).
Day 05: Trek Piguti to Suri Dobhan (1,030m) (5 hrs).
Day 06: Trek Suri Dobhan to Jagat (1,150m) (5-6 hrs).
Day 07: Trek Jagat to Simagaun (1,990m) (5 hrs).
Day 08: Trek Simagaun to Kharka (2,900m) (6 hrs).
Day 09: Trek Kharka to Beding (3,690m) (4 hrs).
Day 10: Rest day at Beding for better acclimatization.
Day 11: Trek Beding to Na (4,180m) (5 hrs).
Day 12: Rest day at Na to explore the surrounding.
Day 13: Trek Na to Ramdung Base Camp (5,550m) (7 hrs).
Day 14: Rest / Exploration Day.
Day 15: Trek to Ramdung High
Day 16: Climb Ramdung (5,925m / 19,437 ft). Return to the Base
Day 17: Trek to Yalung La.
Day 18: Trek to Chho Rolpa Lake.
Day 19: Cross Tashi Lapcha Pass (5,755m) (5 hrs).
Day 20: Continue over to finish the crossing of pass.
Day 21: Trek to Ngole (5,110m) (5 hrs).
Day 22: Trek to Thame (3,820m) (5 hrs).
Day 23: Trek to Namche Bazar (3,440m) (5 hrs).
Day 24: Trek Namche to Lukla (2,840m).
Day 25: Flight: Lukla – Kathmandu.
Day 26: Free day in kathmandu .
Day 27: Drop to the kathmandu airport for your onward destination
