Mt. Shishapangma is the 14th highest mountain which lies in its autonomous region, known by the Tibetans as “the big grassy field”, it is an extremely beautiful and provides awe inspiring vistas along the Himalayan range. Only very few people in the world have idea about the Shishapangma before Chinese opened Tibet to the western summiteers in 1978 A.D. Tibetans regard it as a holy mountain.
Mt. Shishapangma (8013m) is the highest peak in the Jugal Himal range and borders bordering the Langtang himal and often called the part of the Langtang Himal. This peak is situated towards the drier north of the Himalayan crest is on the dry north side of the Himalayan crest at lower terrain of Nepal. Due to its location the peak is less dramatic and contains relatively low vertical relief.
Mt. Shishapangma Expedition Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1350m.) and transfer to Hotel. If you have time, half day sightseeing in kathmandu valley. Day 02: Full day sightseeing in kathamndu valley with our licence holder tour guide. Day 03: Visa, Briefing & Preparation for Expedition Day 04: Drive to Kodari, Transfer to Zhangmu (2300M.) hotel Day 05: Drive Nylam 3750m. Over night at hotel Day 06: Nylam rest for acclimatization Day 07: Drive to Chanise Base camp Day 08: Rest & prepare every equipment (load) for EBC Day 09: Trek to E.B.C. ( Everest Base Camp south side from Tibet) Day 10-34: Climbing Period Shishapangama Day 35: Drive to Tingri Day 36: Drive to Zhangmu Day 37: Crossing the boarder drive back to Kathmandu. Day 38: Full day sightseeing in Patan Durbar square with tour guide. Day 39: Kathmandu (Rest Day) / Cushine. Day 40: Drop to the airport for your onward destination.
