Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, and sightseeing (1350m)
When you arrive in Kathmandu, you will be collected from the airport and transported to your hotel. If you arrive early in the day, you can explore the city and rest in your hotel.
Day 02: Morning bus to Pokhara – Free Afternoon
Day 03:Trek From Pokhara to TikheDhunga or Uleri
After breakfast in the morning we drive to Nayapul (48 km.) 1.5 hr by vehicle over via hilly ridges of Lumle/kande and walk about 20 minutes to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town. Beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, the trail reaches Sudami where we have Lunch. After lunch climb steadily up the side of the valley, reaching Hile at 1495m near by Tikhedhunga. Along the way various hamlets offer ample camping possibilities but if Gorepani is the objective for the next day it is better to push to Uleri.
Day 04:Trek from TikheDhunga or Uleri to Ghorepani
Breakfast served in the morning around 7: am. From Tikhedhunga the trail crosses a stream (Bhurungdi Khola) on a suspension bridge to start the long steep climb to the large Magar village Ulleri at 2070m.Above the village where the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. There are magnificent rhododendron and oak forest. Lunch spot in Nangethanti. Thanti is a Nepali words meaning “rest house”. In the winter the trail can be covered with show. From Nangethanti about an hour walks to Ghorepani at 2848m. Arrive at the top of the Ghorepani pass called Deurali stay over night there.
Day 05:Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani
An early start and an hour hiking to Poon Hill (3195m) lead us to a brilliant spectacle. This vantage point provides an unobstructed view of sunrise over the high Himalayas. After spending about 40 minutes on the hillside, we come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and start walking to Tadapani. From Ghorepani the trail climbs along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2960m). We descend to reach Banthanti, before winding our way to Tadapani (2540m). 6 hours.
Day 06:Trek from Tadapani to Ghaundrunk
Our descent brings us to the village of Ghaundruk around noon. We will overnight here so have the afternoon to visit the Annapurna Conservation Office and museum, as well as take time to explore the village. 2:30 hours
Day 07:Trek from Ghandruk to Chhomrong
Today is little hard day but good view from Kimrong danda, where from you can see close view of Machhapurchhare and south Annapurna. After crossing beautiful Ghandruk village we decent kimrongkhola and steep climbing up to top of chhomrong village, this is last biggest Gurung village of Annapurna basecamp from where you can see close view of south Annapurna and Himchuli.
Day 08:Trek from chhromrong to Tolkha
Today we decent Jhinu danda, takes around 35 minute steep down and stop for hot spring and order lunch and go to Hotspring for 40 minute and back Jhinudanda take lunch and start trek to Tolka via Landrung village.
Day 09: Trek from Tolkha to Pokhara
Today we have last close view of Machhapuchhare from Pothana and decent to Dhampus village enjoying views of mountains and landscape it takes us around 5/6hr to Phedi then take a vehical from Phedi to pokhara. The trek is finished and you can enjoy pokhara with riding boat or paragliding.
Day 10: We back to kathmandu
Day 11: Free day and fly home
