Annapurna Base Camp Trekking

Annapurna Base camp trekking is one of the most popular trekking trail, lies to the Northwest of pokhara valley. This trekking is known as a nearest trekking area from Pokhara valley, 4130 mtrs above the sea level.

Annapurna Base camp trekking is a moderate nature trek that starts at Phedi, a short drive of about 45 minutes from Pokhara, which takes you to the foot (base camp, 4130m) of Mt. Annapurna, one of the most magnificent peaks in the world. The trail takes you through fascinating traditional villages of Nepal's ethnic communities of the Gurung, Magar and Thakali who will greet you very warmly if you cared to stop for a conversation in Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The hike continues through dense rhododendron forest with towering snowy peaks in the background.

Annapurna base camp trek is more separate than any other treks by its variety of people, their rich culture, beautiful landscape, mountains and natural scenery. It is unique experience. It would be almost unbelievable to get back home without a scratch and no any feeling of fatigue. The heart beats with joy along the trek seeing the marvelous rhododendron blossoming - nine different species. Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu,transfer to hotel and welcome dinner (1350m)


When you arrive in Kathmandu,you will be collected from the airport and transported to your hotel.If you arrive early in the day, you can explore the city,rest in your hotel, or indulge in the tasty cuisines served up by the abundance of appetizing restaurants and cafes that cater to Western tastes. There is also a wonderful array of artisan shops selling everything from Masala teas to luxurious pashminas to traditional Buddhist Thankas (paintings that represent the images and stories of the Buddha).
Kathmandu is a chaotic, yet charming city that can be an experience in itself. Many tourists become simply enthralled while wandering its labyrinthine streets and watching its unique city life unravel before them.
In the evening there is a group welcome dinner of traditional Nepalese food.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (850m): 7 hours


Pokhara is a lovely lakeside town that has an ideal climate and is the launching point for trekking in Annapurna. It has a slow and relaxed atmosphere, an abundance of tourist shops selling artisan products and trekking equipment, and many delightful restaurants and cafes.
On route to Pokhara, we will stop for lunch and have the opportunity to try Dahl Baht - a Nepalese staple meal that consists of lentil soup, rice, pickled vegetables, and sometimes meat. Afterwards you can sip on a flavorful cup of Nepalese tea, which is milky, sweet,and slightly spicy.

We will arrive in Pokhara around mid-afternoon.You will have the option to go kayaking on the lake, just relax and explore the town

Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, then trek to Ulleri (1970m): 5.5 hours

After breakfast in the morning we drive to Nayapul (48 km.) 1.5 hr by vehicle over via hilly ridges of Lumle/kande and walk about 20 minutes to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town. Beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, the trail reaches Sudami where we have Lunch. After lunch climb steadily up the side of the valley, reaching Hile at 1495m nearby Tikhedhunga. Along the way various hamlets offer ample camping possibilities but if Gorepani is the objective for the next day it is better to push to Ulleri.

Day 4: Ulleri to Ghorepani(2850m) : 4 Hrs

Breakfast served in the morning around 7: am. From Tikhedhunga the trail crosses a stream (Bhurungdi Khola) on a suspension bridge to start the long steep climb to the large Magar village Ulleri at 2070m.Above the village where the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. There are magnificent rhododendron and oak forest. Lunch spot in Nangethanti. Thanti is a Nepali words meaning “rest house”. In the winter the trail can be covered with show. From Nangethanti about an hour walks to Ghorepani at 2848m. Arrive at the top of the Ghorepani pass called Deurali stay over night there.

Day 5: Ghorepani to Tadapani(2650m).6 hrs

An early start and an hour hiking to Poon Hill (3195m) lead us to a brilliant spectacle. This vantage point provides an unobstructed view of sunrise over the high Himalayas. After spending about 45 minutes on the hillside, we come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and start walking to Tadapani. From Ghorepani the trail climbs along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (3210m). We descend to reach Banthanti, before winding our way to Tadapani (2650m).

Day 6: Tadapani To Chhomrong (2100m). 4.5 Hrs

The trail descends steeply to the Kimrong stream and through a rhododendron forest. We then trek to Chomrong, crossing through the village of Gurjung. Chomrong offers you up-close views of Mount Annapurna South, Hiu Chuli, and the Virgin Peak Fishtail.

Day 7: Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan (2600m): 5 hours

The trail passes terraced villages and fields as we descend to the Chhomrong Khola. After the bridge, it is mainly uphill through Rhododendron forests to Dovan village, which is surrounded by a bamboo forest.

Day 8: Trek from Dovan to Deurali (3210m): 4 hours

We trek through the Rhododendron and bamboo forests to Deurali. The last hour of trekking is on a rocky trail through forests that lead to the Hinku Cave. Afterwards, the trail crosses a ravine and a major avalanche track just before reaching Deurali.

Day 9: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m): 4 hours

The trek leads us into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary and through Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m). Then we continue to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m). We will be surrounded by mountains and spectacular views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, and Barah Shikhar on every side.

Day 10: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Dovan (2600m): 5 hours



We will retrace our steps back to Dovan.

Day 11: Trek from Dovan to Jhinu Dada Hot Spring (1700m): 6 hours

We will retrace our steps to Chhomrong.


Day 12: Trek from Jhinu Dada Hot Spring to Nayapul- Pokhara: 6 hours

Day 13: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu: 7 hours

We travel back to Kathmandu in the same way that we came. The afternoon is free for you to relax and explore the city, buy souvenirs from many artisan shops, visit the attractions.


Day 14: Free day and fly home
